Playa del Carmen taxis are easy to find. You will also see taxi stations all over the city. There are stations on 5th avenue, on Avenida Juarez and on the corner of 5th Avenue and Constituyente. There is also one on 10th Avenue between the entrance to Playacar Phase 1 and Avenida Juarez.

Authorized taxi fares within Playa del Carmen are based on a zoning strategy. These rates are in pesos. The rates change when you get ride from a queued taxi stand or when it is late at night. You may also give your driver a tip – 10 pesos is standard for a short trip.
